What would happen if mass production of popular media around the world— television programs, Hollywood in general, fashion and celebrity magazines, ads—just stopped. Removed, suddenly gone... Really, what would happen?! An unthinkable thing it seems for most people to seriously consider! Now would there be panic and death as a result of it?? Are these things really necessary for survival?? For many reasons it is the popular which has created and is creating such a fear of looking deep into the peace of loneliness and creative purity of oneself and loved ones, of being unique and true in personality, looks and looking... Because if you're honest and original, it's going to stand out, attention comes, so many choose to "hide" in the masses, or wear a mask of imitation, afraid of "letting go" into creative curiosity and experimentation. If all of these mass media illusions—this enormous attention disorder of the world—even just the magazines alone, giving attention to all of it, just ceased to exist, were no longer allowed to be produced, people would have more time on their hands then they’d know what to do with! So many people earn a living by simply supporting this convoluted popularity organism. And then, well, the trillions of dollars which would be saved if this ended, put towards helping those “in need,” and the environment. Such a “drastic” step (of global prioritization if you will) should be considered I think, doing away with some of these things in order to regain some of what we’ve lost and are in danger of losing almost completely. Overall there's been so much more harm done than good because of it. And for what?! Certain egos, people with "power," have established this stuff, and began controlling with it, taking advantage of "weaker" individuals (the majority) around them. And now it is everywhere. A parasite to certain consciousnesses, dividing it over and over again, an eroding collective psychosis gradually taking the planet down with it...
